Pure Silliness

Y'all, this boy right here is full of silly! He is always up to something, into something, or straight up destroying something.  No matter what, though, I love his little silly self!  He is my bright & shiny star and lights up a room with his beautiful smile and gorgeous blue eyes.  Thank you, Lord, he's mine. :)

This is his smile nowadays.  Squeezing his eyes closed when he smiles.  Love.

He loves the neighbors cat.  Me, not so much.
You can't even open the door without it trying to run in.  Ugh!

He loves this kitty, though.

And I love HIM! :)

Pre-K Registration

We registered this little hot rod for K-4 yesterday!!!

Registration didn't begin until 3:30, but we were advised to be there early, so we arrived at 2:15.  People were already lined up!  Gah!!!  We ended up being 18th in line, but glad we were there to get one of the only 88 spots they had for Pre-K this year.

Now we just have to wait until Summer to receive a letter letting us know he was accepted.  We're hoping he is and that he gets the teacher we requested, Mrs. Rhonda Dasher.  She walked over to us yesterday to speak to me and while she was there, Jubal looked up at her and introduced himself to her.  He said, "I'm Jubal Stanfield."  She kneeled down, held out her hand and said, "Hello, Jubal.  I'm Rhonda Dasher."  It was the cutest thing ever.  She thought he was just the most precious thing.
He is. ;)

There were also some ladies sitting with us at our table that asked me if Jubal was always so well behaved.  I had to answer yes, because although he has his moments, most of the time when we're out & about, he is a very good child.  Very well-mannered.  He makes me so proud.

I'm very excited for this new chapter in our lives, especially Jubal's.  He is such a big boy.  I know he's going to love it.  I'm probably going to just cry.  Ha! ;)

This Love

Because there were ten years between my sister and I, we were never close.  I didn't have that sister "bond".  I was very close with my brother, but I think that's different than same-sex sibling bonds.

That's why I'm so happy about my boys being close in age, having each other to grow up with, and being able to have that bond.  The love that they have for each other is very visible.  Of course, they fight like crazy, but they will also defend each other quickly, too.

I love seeing them together.  It makes me proud to watch them grow to love each other more every day.

They don't get to play on the same playground at school because they keep the age groups separate.  As you can see, though, my boys love each other even through the barriers that may keep them apart.

This love right here makes this mama's heart happy.  I hope their love for each other and the bond they have only grows bigger and stronger as each day, month, and year passes.

I Need To Do Better

I am totally slacking in keeping up with things, no matter how big or small, for my boys.  It doesn't seem like it's been a couple weeks since I last posted.  I'll try to get caught up in this post.

We rode in the parade again this year for The Rattlesnake Roundup.  Both boys stayed awake and Gentry especially loved waving at all the pretty little girls.  Ha!

Before the parade.

Riding in the parade.

We didn't do anything this year for St. Patrick's day.  The weather has been rainy and we've been stuck in the house.  Ugh!  I did dress the boys in green leprechaun shirts for school yesterday, though.  Go me!  Right? ;)

Speaking of school, they both are doing so good.  Jubal is so ready for "big" school.  I register him this coming up Monday for Pre-K at the elementary school.  He's so excited, and I know he's ready.  I can't wait to see his little mind grow.

Gentry is excelling as well.  He can identify colors and call them out.  He knows all of his body parts.  He has just started showing any interest in TV.  He loves Dora, which he pronounces "Gora".  He loves to color, but his favorite thing is to be read to.  He loves books.  I'm so thankful that both of my boys seem to like school a lot.  Let's just hope it lasts throughout high school.

Sheriff Jubal

Gentry has always loved hair.  The longer, the better.
Here he is playing in Ms. Jordyn's hair.

They've been celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday.

A cupcake for Wesley's birthday at school.

Ms. Jordyn caught this sweet, sleepy grin for me at nap time.

My big boy does really well feeding himself.  It's the spoon's fault for all the spills. ;)

I LOVE this picture.  His expression is like he's saying,
"Aww, shucks!  You caught me!"
This is his little girl friend, Ava.

Beautiful babies.

Mr. Quentin Quail

Mama's little fireman.  Handsome, to say the least. :)

This is Gentry's "I know I can get away with it" look.
Ms. Jordyn had just gotten on to him for standing on this toy,
so he sat down in it and flashed her this smile.
He's a charmer, that's for sure.

These are just a few things I needed to get caught up on.  I want to have lots of little memories wrote down, not just for my own memory, but for my boys to be able to look back on (hopefully) one day, too.

They may seem unimportant to most, but they are things that mean a lot to me.
