Halloween~2017

Halloween seems to have come quickly this year.
The boys picked out scary masks this year instead of costumes.
Jubal wanted to be Jason, and Gentry wanted to be Michael.
The masks didn't stay on long.
It was a little warm again this year, and it was just cooler without them.
Thankfully, they had the shirts I bought them to wear to school on.
That's about all the costume they had this time.

They didn't want us walking with them at all this year.
Usually I'm the driver and Larson walks with them from house to house.
They said they were big boys this year & wanted to do it alone.
It was bittersweet.

I'm happy they are becoming more independent,
but at the same time I'm sad they are growing up so fast.
Jubal even mentioned he would like to hand out candy
next year  instead of collecting it.

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, I guess.
I hope we still have a few more years of trick-or-treating, though.
I'm not ready for them to be big boys yet.

Red Ribbon Week

The boys had Red Ribbon Week at school last week.
They had to wear a certain thing each day.
It was fun since we had everything we needed this year.
I didn't have to run out and buy anything last minute, thank goodness.

Day One:
Wear Red, White, & Blue

Day Two:
Pajama Day

Day Three:
Camo or Western Wear

Day Four:
Favorite Jersey

Day Five:
Costume Day

They were not allowed to wear scary masks or wear face paint.
They are actually going to be Jason Voorhees & Michael Myers
for Trick or Treat tonight, but we had to tone it down for school.
Jubal wanted to be a Skull Ninja & Gentry was Nick Chubb. :)
Also, let me note that Jubal was ill as a hornet on this particular morning.
I was only able to get one halfway decent picture of him.
