Not Too Much

Once again I've fallen behind on trying to keep our little mundane happenings in the boys' journal. Seriously, though, not too much has been going on. Daily life. Work, school, home. We try to spend as much time outside as we can because the weather has been beautiful for it to be winter.

Gentry's K4 class did have some farmers visit them at school.  He came home telling us all about the chicken.  Ha!  A friend of ours takes pictures for the school activities, so I snagged some off of her Facebook page. :)

Larson took the boys to the park while I was working.  When they left the house, the boys had on long-sleeved tshirts & hoodies.  As you can tell by this picture Larson sent me, it got hot fast, and those shirts came off.

I had a doctor's appointment Monday.  Although I had my alarm set for 6:45, when it went off I just turned it off.  My appointment wasn't a "normal" visit, so no time was set for me to be there.  I let Larson oversleep for work, and I let the boys oversleep for school.  We all woke up around 8:30, and instead of rushing around I told everybody to just take their time. There was no need for panic.  I had done it purposefully.

After Larson & I dropped the boys off at school at 9:45, he rode with me to learn how to give myself non-insulin injections.  I found out I was diabetic right before getting pregnant with Jubal.  I lost 62 lbs., and then *BOOM*...I was pregnant.  After almost 10 years together, we were going to have a baby.  How 'bout that?!

Anyway, we enjoyed the day together celebrating an early Valentine's Day.  We knew we had to work Tuesday, and would not have any more time alone together for awhile, so we made the most of it.  We went to lunch, he bought me a cute tshirt I wanted, and I bought him a new pair of shades since he broke his coming out of the doctor's office.  What can I say?  We're very practical, but that was our gifts to each other.  Ha!

**********

Jubal & Gentry had parties for Vday at school, so we got their little valentine cards sent to school with them.  I didn't get any pictures of them on Vday, but this cute little pic Jena sent me is close enough.

We got the boys a sweet little teddy bear and a small box of candy.  We knew they would have plenty of candy from their parties at school, so we went with the small box. ;)

Also, just for future purposes, I want to include this picture (selfie) I took of myself yesterday while I was at work.  I want my boys to look back at this and remember what I looked like at this time in their lives.  I'm usually behind the camera, so anyway...

Hope everyone had a Happy Valentines Day.
