Hello, Jaxson!

Let me start by introducing you to our new fur baby,
Carolina Glenn Jaxson.
We just call him Jaxson.

He's a bit bigger now at 18 weeks old,
but I just love this picture of him when he was smaller.
He was born just for us on January 8, 2019.

We lost our sweet Jersey on Friday, April 26.

We loved/still love our Jersey Boi Denver.
Nothing will ever take his place in our hearts.
The boys just felt like they couldn't go on without a fur brother,
and that is where Jaxson enters the big picture.

On the way home from NC to GA

Shawnya & I made the 13 hour round trip to Oak Ridge, NC on Sunday, May 5.
We headed out at 7:30 AM, and finally got home at 8:30 PM.
The boys stayed home, anxiously calling me every 20-25 minutes,
asking was we on the way home with him yet. Ha!

As much as my heart wasn't ready, their's were.
This little fella has been like a big ball of hope for them again.
I wish we still had our sweet Jersey,
but my heart is opening up to Jaxson...slowly, but surely.

I took him to see our our vet the day after picking him up.
He weighed in at 7.5 lbs.
I think most of his weight was fur, though.
He had so much.

Waiting on Dr. Deal

We got him his first big boy haircut yesterday.
I know he feels better without all that hair, especially in this south GA heat.

The boys are so happy about their new "lil' bro".
We find ourselves comparing everything Jax does to things Jersey did.
I honestly believe God & Jersey picked the little guy out for us.
Because Jaxson is so much like Jersey was,
it has made the transition a little easier for us all.

Maybe God will let us have this fur baby for many years to come.
I thought Jersey would be my last baby.
I want to see the boys grow up with Jaxson.
I'm praying he's with us long after the boys have started college.

We love you, Jaxson!
Thanks for unbreaking our hearts a little.
