Morning

Weekday mornings around our house are touch & go.  Some mornings are easy, some... not so easy.

I have two little boys that enjoy sleep as much as their mama does.  They hate being woken up.  We usually wake Gentry first since he's the easier of the two right now.  Jubal likes to sleep until 9:30 or so on the weekends, if Gentry doesn't wake him any earlier, so waking him up at 6:45 during the week is not always fun.

Yesterday morning when we thought we had them up, we went on about our morning routines only to come back into the living room to find them snuggled up on the couch together, asleep.  I had to snap a picture before waking them back up because it was just so precious to me.

Needless to say, I want to save it here in their journal. :)

In Memory Of Boz

We lost our family pet today. I will miss him the most, I'm sure. He was my fur baby.  I had him long before I had my babies, back when I wasn't even sure I was ever going to have babies.

He was my best friend. Loyal is an understatement. This boy was my sidekick. He went to work with me every day. He went everywhere we went. He was just simply always there. He never left me. Never.

I just don't know what I'm going to do without him always there to greet me with so much love every day. My heart is broken in a thousand pieces.

He loved snuggling with his "lammy".

I was so afraid he would be jealous of Jubal when we brought him home.
He stayed close by, though.

Jubal's first Georgia game. All my boys had their GA shirts on.

Jubal's first Christmas.

Way to photo bomb, Boz!

And again.

How 'bout Bozley's "smile"?!

Our family friend.

At the river with us.

Photo bombing again in our 2012 family pics. :)

With the boys in their pics last month.

All my baby boys.

Yes, we have lost part of our family today.  I have lost a piece of my heart.  May he rest in peace.
I love you, Boz!

Gentry At 15 Months

My sweet Gentry,

You are a delight!
The older you get, the funnier you become.
You are a feisty one, though.
Your daddy has you spoiled.

We took you to your 15 month well check visit Monday.
You are weighing in at 25.3 lbs.
You are 31.5 inches tall.
And, of course, you still have your daddy's big head,
measuring 19.5 inches.
(I'm just kidding about your head.  You actually have MY round head.)

There is only about 5 lbs. difference between you and your brother.
There's also only about 5 inches separating your height from his.
We all think you're going to be the bigger & taller of the two of you.

Jubal has gotten you toughened up.
He's not mean to you, but he does play a little too rough at times.
You're learning to defend yourself.
You're also learning how to avoid the situation in the first place.
You RUN!!!
Ha! Ha!

You're such a sweet, handsome little guy.
I pray every day that you grow into a healthy, happy young man.
I look back lovingly at the past 15 months,
and I am looking forward to the years to come that I get to be you mama.
I love you so much.

Always & Forever,
Mama

At School With The Boys

Since Gentry has moved into the K-1 class and is no longer in the nursery, he & Jubal get to interact more often at school now. I love that my boys get to see each other throughout their days at GCA.

Gentry has transitioned to only one nap per day.  The teachers tell me he eats lunch well for them at school.  I wish he would do the same at home.  He likes to feed his supper to our dog, Bozley. ;)

Gentry gets to go outside on the playground now and Jubal is usually outside at the same time so they get to see each other then.  Gentry sometimes gets to "visit" Jubal after nap time, too.

I'm very happy that my boys are there together.  Next year when Jubal starts K-4 at the local elementary school, they won't get to be together all day like they are now.

Anyway, here are some pictures from their days at school together for now.

One of Jubal's favorite things to do at recess is ride the tricycle.

Here they are chatting through the fence. Gentry seriously wants to come over!

Jubal got to color with markers. He colored a picture of a "gator in the river".

Gentry stopped by after nap to see his big brother.

Evidently he wanted to lie down on his brother's napper.

Another "drop by to say hi" day.

Jubal got in trouble for hitting another child so his awesome teacher, Mrs. Diane, made him walk laps.
She said all the kids hate that. Jubal looks absolutely thrilled. Ha!

Saying the Pledge of Allegiance.

Hanging out with Ms. Jordyn before going to his classroom. :)

Jubal thought Gwen needed a hug because she felt bad. I'm glad my child is so compassionate.

It was super hot this day at recess so Jubal & Jaydira were taking a break on the "front porch".

Both of my boys love to be outside. They could play outside from sun up til sun down.
