A Few On Friday

There's not a whole lot going on right now. We're definitely ready to see March come in. The sun has been shining more and the temps have been nicer, too, so we've been able to get out a little more. I can already tell the days are getting longer. Yay!

I just have a few pictures to share today.

Gentry is outgrowing all of my fav toddler clothes quickly.
He's is growing much faster than Jubal did, so I
have to get pictures of him in some of my favorite little outfits he wears.
I love the button-up Polo and his little Georgia boots. :)

I had a laundry basket with a few clean clothes left in it and
Jubal was lying in it, calling for me to come take a picture of him in it.
By the time I got there to get the pic, Gentry had joined him
and, needless to say, Jubal was less than enthused.
He did not like sharing the spotlight.
Gentry was having fun, though. Ha!

These pictures are from school.
They were playing musical chairs and Jubal won.
His best bud, Ian, looks a little upset about that. ;)

We got to go to the park again this week.
Gentry loves to swing.
I love his beautiful smile.

This pic is from Jubal's first "sick" visit in over a year.
He had the old stinkin' flu.
Even with fever and feeling bad, I still got to see his sweet smile.

And, last, but not least...
I can't even use the bathroom in peace, but when a little sleepy head
wakes up and brings you a ring and says "marry me",
it's all good.  So sweet!

That's all I have today.  Just a few things on this last Friday of February.  Come on March!  We're ready.

I'm Learning

This is my first attempt at making videos from pictures. It's not the best, but I will get better. :)

Warmer Weather

Since we made it through the great "Winter Storm" of 2014, we decided to get outside and play some on one of our warmer days. My boys love it outside, so every chance we get that's where we are.

The picture above is so funny to me because Gentry was walking by and saw me grab my phone to take a pic.  He casually turned his head toward me and said "Cheese" and just kept walking.  So funny!

Jubal has learned to hang upside down and flip now.  Neither of my boys have any fear.

Let me explain these next pictures.

This is Gentry trying his best to get in the swing by himself.  After a few seconds of trying it alone, his big brother tries to give him a hand without any success.  Then, Daddy comes to the rescue and helps him up, shows him how, and gives him a good push.  Gentry is still not satisfied, so he hops out and it's back to square one again.  Ha!

I guess he would rather swing like this than sitting in the swing.  It was just too cute to watch.

It's another beautiful weekend so we plan on being outside as much as possible.  We have a few plans for this weekend since Jubal was sick last weekend and all week this week.  He's feeling better now, so we hope to have lots of fun together in this beautiful sunshine.

Our Valentine~2014

We didn't really do anything special for Valentine's Day. Larson & I both had to work and the boys went to school. I did make them some cute little valentines to give to their friends and made some goodies for each of their class parties.

Little bags of pink candy drizzled popcorn with Valentines M&ms attached to these cute little pictures I made for each of them.  It was a last minute decision to make these because I had other ideas, but these are the ones that made the cut.

Unfortunately, Gentry's teacher didn't send me any pictures of his class party, so I don't have any to share of him.  BOO!!!  Mrs. Diane, however, sent me a couple of Jubal's class. :)

We did attempt to do something Saturday, but Jubal came down with something and we had to cut our plans short.  We stayed in Saturday night with our boys, one of whom was running a high fever.  We ended up taking Jubal to the ER early Sunday morning.  They gave a diagnosis of croup and started him on a steroid.  He seemed better on Monday when we followed up with his pediatrician, but it came back on him during the night and I carried him back to his pediatrician on Tuesday where they did a flu test which came back positive for Type A.

He's better now, but still hasn't went back to school.  It's been a rough week.  Maybe this weekend we'll all feel up to doing something fun.

Update On School

I have a few pictures to share from the boys' teachers that they send me throughout the day, letting me catch a glimpse of pieces of their day at school. I love being able to capture some of their school days here. Jubal will start K-4 in August, so I won't get to do this with him much longer. :(

Gentry eats like a big boy now.

Jubal was telling Mrs. Diane about going to the park and seeing the train pass by.

Jubal & his buddy, Ian.

Jubal, the doctor.

The doctor who is also a handy man.

And a pilot. ;)

Jubal won a prize for saying his weekly Bible verse. He chose these silly glasses.

Mrs. Diane said it looked like Thanksgiving to her. Haha!

Jubal with his African jewelry on that his class made.

Both my boys are growing & learning so much each day.  Gentry says a new word almost every day, it seems.  He has really become quite the little man since starting K-1.  I love that both of my boys have been able to attend GCA.  I feel like they are completely safe & loved there.  For working moms, this is a huge deal.  I have watched both of them get to grow in a Christian environment, where they not only are given a head start on their education, but they get to learn about Jesus, too.

For this, I am thankful. :)
