Phone Dump

I have a few random pics and quite a few videos on my iPhone that I want to add to my blog. It's been a long week at work and it's rained nearly everyday, so we haven't had too much going on, thus this random post. ;)

I installed the InstaCollage on my iPhone.  Love it!

Top: Jubal's birth day; Bottom: 4 days after Gentry's birth day
My C-Section with Jubal went off without a hitch since it was planned, so I was able to come to my room straight from Recovery and be with him & my family.
My C-Section with Gentry was an emergency one due to Preeclampsia and it didn't go so well.  I didn't recover as quickly so we didn't get pictures with him until a few days after his birth. :(

I love this picture of Gentry.
He looks like he's saying "Get that camera out of my face!"
Could he be flipping me off as well?! ;)

Jubal's teachers send me pics sometimes throughout the day & I love that.  It lets me know my big baby is doing well and all is okay.  This is Jubal & his buddy Bentley.  Bentley is about 6 months younger than Jubal, but look how much bigger.  Gosh, my boy is small like his daddy.

It was raining when we picked Jubal up from school Thursday.  I let him play in the rain & puddles in the school parking lot when we first came out.  He screamed & cried when we made him get in the car to go home and pretty much the whole way home.  What can I say?  My baby takes after his mama & likes playing in the rain. :)
So, when we got home, his daddy let him go play in the MUD puddles out on our dirt road in front of our house.  Such a mess! ;)

This is a video of him playing in the school parking lot.  He was having so much fun. :)

We ordered a pizza the other night and while we waited to go pick it up, we took Jubal to a little park nearby.  This is his first time on the SeeSaw.  He didn't want Daddy to stop.

Jubal loves his puzzles.  I love watching him put them together. :)

This is just a short little video his teacher sent me a while back.  Actually it was on his birthday.  She said he was having a good day.  I love his silliness & laughter so much.

Jubal & Alannah dancing.  This is an everyday occurrence for Jubal.  He loves to dance & sing.

And last, but not least...Jubal had a great time at Olivia's birthday party sliding into the pool.  You just gotta love my BFF, Darla. :)

Such a random post, but such fun memories! :))

Sweet Pics

We didn't do much this weekend, but I did manage to get some cute pics. I love my boys so much!  I can't say it enough about what a wonderful big brother Jubal is or what an awesome baby Gentry is.  Jubal always wants to spend time with Gentry.  Yesterday he even asked to feed him and did a great job doing it, too. :)

Gentry is just a very laid-back kinda baby.  He just goes with the flow and rarely cries unless he's hungry or needs a diaper change.  He loves when Jubal talks to him and plays with him.

The sweetest thing I love the most is when Jubal is holding Gentry and he'll start rocking him, saying "I got you.  Shhh, baby.  It's okay."  He'll pat his little back and just rock & rock. Melts my heart! :)

I hope he learned to be sweet & kind like that from the way he sees us treat him, as well as others.  We strive very hard to be the best parents we can possibly be and to treat people with kindness & love.

See what I mean? Sweetness overload. Love!

We had to go to a friend's home to pay our condolences Monday evening.  A good friend of ours passed away after battling cancer for some time now.  This was the first time that Ma Dale got to see our boys.  I just hate the circumstances under which she met them.  Here's a few pics before we left.

Is he not the cutest?!? ;)

These boys make me so proud.

Jubal was adamant about fitting in the chair with Gentry.

He managed it, too. :)

I love when Larson talks to Gentry how he'll just coo & smile.

Look at those dimples!!

I just love the smiles in all these pictures.  I want to scoop my boys up and keep them little like this forever.  Can you say "LOVE"?  :))

Jubal Man

I've got a couple of cute pics I wanted to share. Jubal is growing up so fast on me & I try to take pics regularly, but sometimes life is demanding and if I let a day go by, it seems like before I know it, 3 or 4 days have passed.

Anyway, I think these pics are cute and wanted to have them here on the blog. :)

This is one of Jubal's little girl friends at school.  This is such a cute picture.  They look so sweet. :)

My niece, Alannah's birthday was August 10.  She brought Jubal a cupcake that was left over from her party at her after school daycare.  Can you tell he likes cupcakes? ;)

Trying to figure out where he's going to bite it next.

Ha! Look at that tongue sticking out! He's trying to lick some of that icing off his top lip.

Nummy, nummy, nummy!!! :)

Loving My Tattoo

I haven't linked up with Jamie over @ This Kind of Love in awhile, so I thought I would today.  Since I have so much I'm loving this week, I felt I needed to share. :)

{I'M LOVING}

My new tattoo

When my first son was born, I had his name, Jubal, tattooed on my right wrist.  I actually posted about that tattoo on one of my WILW posts as well. :)

So, it was a given that as soon as my second son was born I would get his name tattooed on my left wrist.  My tubes are now tied and there will be no more babies, which is okay since I've run out of wrists.  Ha! ;)

A little side by side of them both

{I'M LOVING}

I'm so happy my sweet Gentry had a good 2 month check-up and did really well with his first shots.  No fever and he never got very cranky.  He was a little tired, but other than that he did great.  He now weighs 13.13 lbs. & is 24.5 inches tall.  Big & strong. :)

{I'M LOVING}

My babies

I love that my boys are both so healthy & happy.  I could not ask God for more.  Jubal is so good to Gentry, too.  It's like he just knew automatically how to be a big brother.  I love these two little boys more than I could ever express in words.  True love!

{I'M LOVING}

It's no secret that I'm absolutely, positively, totally, completely in love with all three of these fellas right here.  They are my entire world.  It doesn't get any better than this! :))

Thanks for stopping by,

Gentry is Growing

Gentry had his 2 month check-up & his first shots yesterday. He now weighs 13.13 lbs. (88th percentile), he is 24.5 inches long (91st percentile), and his head measures 16.25 (74th percentile).

He's going to catch up with Jubal before long.  Ha!  He did pretty good with his shots.  I felt so sorry for  him, though.  He was lying there so unsuspecting and then the mean old nurse stuck him with those long needles.  He cried the most pitiful cry he has ever cried. :(

He did well throughout the night.  He didn't run any fever but I gave him some Tylenol anyway, just to make sure he was comfortable.  He slept all night without even waking up for a little piece of a bottle like he usually does.

I held it together pretty good until the nurse walked out of the room.  Then I picked him up and squawled my eyes out.  I know he has to have them, but gosh, I wish I could keep it from hurting him so bad.  He's my sweet baby and I hated hearing him cry out like that, knowing there wasn't anything I could do.  He did good, though.  Now we just have to make it through the next round when he's 4 months.  Bless him! :)

Two Months

Gentry Slade,

You are already TWO months old! Happy two months, my sweet littlest angel. I love you so much!

You have been such a blessed addition to our family.  You are so good.  You eat well, you sleep well, you're very laid-back.  You're not fussy at all.  You have the sweetest disposition and I can already tell you're going to be full of personality.  I'm so proud of you!

All about you:

You take 4-5 4 oz. bottles of formula each day and 1 bottle during the night that you usually just take half of.  I also give you 3 oz. of water with a little Karo syrup in it each day just to keep you regular.  We had a little spell where you would go up to two days without a BM, so that's when I started giving you some water.  It works for you.
You go to sleep for the night usually around 8:30-9 P.M..  You only wake up once during the night, but never crying.  I can just hear you rustling around in your bed and making noises, so I get up with you for 15-30 minutes, give you some formula and then you go right back to sleep for the rest of the night.  You've done this since birth.  Awesome, I tell ya!  We now wake you up around 6:45-7 to get you & your brother ready for daycare.
Your milk bump issue has cleared up.  We still put a little Vaseline on your face after your bath to keep your skin healthy.  We probably don't have to anymore, we just do.
You just moved up to size 2 diapers.  You never wore a newborn size.  You wore a size 1 when you were born.
You wear 0-3 months for now, but it won't be too much longer before we have to put you in size 3 months.  You're getting so big.  We'll find out next Monday at your 2 month well-check how much you weigh & how tall you are now.  You also have to get your first shots. Blah!
You have started enjoying bath time.  You never didn't like it, it's just at first we weren't sure if you were going to like it as much as Jubal, but I think we have 2 water babies on our hands now.
You love to be talked to and try your hardest to talk back.  You make the sweetest little sounds.
You smile all the time.  It's such a beautiful smile.  I always hope you're happy, sweet boy.

These are a few of the happenings going on with you right now.  I know you will grow quickly and I want to remember these things.  It won't be long and you'll be running along beside your big brother.  I'm going to miss my babies being babies and you are the last baby I will have.  I relish the moments I get to have with you, my sweet, sweet Gentry Slade.  I hope you always know that you are very important to our family & we love you so much.  I never thought my heart could feel so much more love as it does for you.   You are so loved, little man. So loved!

Love you forever & a day,
Mommy

The Cutest Smile

I finally caught Gentry smiling! We've been trying to get a good picture of his beautiful smile for a few days now and I got it! :)

He has the cutest dimples in his fat little cheeks!  I'm so in love with my littlest boy.  His looks are changing quickly now.  I want to make sure I take lots of pictures.

His face has cleared up so well.  He had a bad case of those little milk bumps but his pediatrician told us to put a little Vaseline on his face and it cleared right up.  The heat still tends to make one or two come up, though, so we just try to keep him cool.  That means keeping him inside since the temps have been so high lately.

And just for my heart's sake, both of my boys' first smiles...

I took a couple of pics of both of my little guys Sunday morning when they first woke up.  I have wonderful babies that love to sleep as much as their mama does.  They didn't wake up until 9:15 that morning.  We usually have to wake them up at 7:00 A.M. during the week, so they appreciate getting to sleep late. :)

Jubal got just as close to Gentry as he could.  He's so sweet to his little brother.  I'm amazed daily at the love he has for him.  The only thing we have to remind him of is to be gentle.  Other than that, you couldn't ask for a better big brother.

These next pictures are from a few weeks ago.  I just wanted to include them so I would have them on the blog, too.

I tell Larson all the time that we sure did make some pretty babies.  I just don't think my babies could be any cuter!  Maybe I'm a little biased.  Ha! ;)
