Out & About

My little family & I had a wonderful time this past weekend. I have to work for awhile on Saturdays, but just as soon as I got off, got home, and got my mama seen about, it was get a shower & go! The weather was so beautiful all last week and has been throughout this week as well and it makes you want to get out & do things.
There were a lot of "firsts" this weekend. I have to tell you that when we went grocery shopping Saturday afternoon for my mama, Jubal took his first ride in the buggy! Since we no longer have the carseat/carrier, he has to ride like a big boy now.

I'm so proud of him! I wish he could stay little forever, but since that's not going to happen, I am enjoying these milestones of his.

We ended up going to Statesboro to Longhorns for dinner. Jubal got to sit in his first highchair there, too. I didn't take pics, though. Bad mama! I must say I LOVE the buggy & highchair cover!

Sunday morning we got up early and went to Savannah for the day. We went to Keller's Flea Market and enjoyed walking around there for hours. Jubal loves to watch all the people walking around. He just sat back in his stroller & chilled out. We ended up not purchasing anything, which is fine because we only went to get out of the house anyway.

Jubal's two bottom teeth have been right below the gums forever. His bottom right one came through Sunday night & his bottom left came on through Monday. I have a picture. It's not real clear, though. It's only of his first tooth, too. Once they come in a little more, I'll post new pics.

Yep! That's my boy's very first little tooth. I'm a proud mama, can't you tell?! He's getting to be such a little man.

I'm already looking forward to this coming up weekend. It's supposed to be wonderful weather again, so I doubt we'll be cooped up inside. We'll have to wait & see...

Springtime's a comin'...

I am SO excited about this beautiful weather we're having in Southeast GA right now! We intend on spending the whole weekend outdoors.
I've ordered Jubal some of his new "Spring fashion line". Ha! I've also found his Easter outfit, too. I love, love, love clothes!

Here's a preview of some of Jubal's new Spring wardrobe.

The first little outfit is what I want him to wear for Easter. It's so cute! Little Gingham pants & a Polo. How classically preppy! Love it!! His other outfits are just for fun. I love the little Polo shorts layettes.

Anyway...I got way off the subject then. Ha!

The weather has been in the 70's all week & today it's bright and beautifully sunny with a high of 76. It's not long until the time springs forward, either. Yay!
I have definetly got the Spring Fever thing going on. I'm ready to get my boy out in the grass, barefoot. Ready to get him to the nearest body of water, naked...in all his glory! I'm just ready to let him experience it all, naturally.
I'm ready for him to be around family & friends at cookouts, beach trips, trips to Shellman's Bluff, taking him out on the boat with our friends to Blackbeard. I'm just ready!

This has been a wonderful year so far and I'm ready to experience ALL the new seasons with my little guy.

I hope you all have a fabulously wonderful day!

Party at my crib!

I love to hear Jubal laugh. It is the sweetest sound I know. I also love to see him & his daddy play. I didn't have my camera with me for the good stuff & by the time I got back with it Jubal was about tickled out. I still got some cute giggles, though. :)

My Sweet Boy

You are now seven months old.

I cannot believe how fast these 7 months have flown by.

We went a done a little shopping over the weekend. It's so hard to get your carrier/carseat in & out of the car now that you're bigger, so we decided to go ahead and get you a new front-facing carseat. You NEVER liked your carrier. I told your daddy that I didn't blame you. Now you can see where we're going, instead of where we've been & I'm so excited for you! You love riding in it. You just look around in sheer amazement at the world around you.
I squawled like a baby, though, when I was packing up your carrier. I remember the day Mammaw called me and told me she had just bought you a carseat. I was leaving the doctors office from an appointment to check on you when Mammaw met with me and gave it to me. She did a good job picking you one out, too. I loved it!
I remember the day we were leaving the hospital with you and your daddy went to the car to get it and brought it into the room. That little carrier carried you from the only place you knew at that time and has protected you and carried you a many a mile so far in your short life. I hate to put it away, but you are growing quickly and it is time to get you something bigger.
Doesn't make me any less sad to say goodbye to your first carseat, though.

Then...

And now...

I can't believe how big you're getting.
You weigh right at 20 lbs., you're almost 29 inches tall, your hair is thickening more (you also still have the "who hair"), and you FINALLY have two teeth trying to come through.
You still sleep good at night, but have started to sleep a whole lot less during the day.
You only take two 6 oz. bottles throughout the day & one at night while your drifting off to sleep. You eat three meals a day (stage 2), though, and you like everything we've fed you.
You wear a size 3 diaper. Your 6-9 month clothes fit you well now.
You roll to get to where you want to go.
You LOVE being outside! Thankfully, the weather has been fairly nice this past week and we were able to get you out in it a little.

I love you so much, Jubal. I don't even know how to put into words the feelings I have about being your mommy. God knew exactly what I wanted & needed. You are my precious gift from God and I cherish every second I get to spend with you.

We are so blessed to have a happy, healthy, handsome baby boy. Mommy & Daddy love you, baby, with all of our hearts & souls. You have brought so much joy to our lives. May you continue to grow strong & healthy, my sweet boy.

Love,
Mommy

Chatter

We haven't really been up to anything lately except the same everyday routine, which is fine with me. Jubal is becoming very vocal here lately. He seriously thinks he's talking to us. It's so cute.
I got a little video of him making his little noises that I will call "chatter". :)

I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day weekend with the ones they love. I know I am!

Mr. Poopy Face

I have got to show this picture off that my sister sent me when she was with Jubal yesterday. Bless my little boy's heart! He makes the funniest faces & grunting sounds when he's "pooping"! I probably shouldn't put his business out here like this, but I really can't help myself...he's so cute!!!

Look at that little red face. You can just tell he's struggling with this one. Ha! I love him!!!!

Busy Weekend

I tell ya...I had to go back to work just to get some rest! No really, we did have a busy weekend, though. Larson is off on Saturdays and Sundays, but I work til 2 on Saturdays, so our weekend doesn't officially begin until then. I usually have to grocery shop & write out checks for my mama on Saturday afternoons, but her sister came for a visit, so I got to go straight home to my babies this Saturday. We spent some time playing with Jubal before we got showers and decided we were going to go out for a bite to eat and head to Walmart. We ended up not getting back home until about 11:30. Yeah, I don't know how we spent that much time at Walmart, either. :)

Sundays are wonderful days. We got up and had some breakfast & coffee before starting to get ready for Sunday school & church. We usually spend Sunday afternoons visiting Larson's mama, and his dad & his wife, then go to my mama's to cook supper & eat with her. We didn't make it this Sunday, though.
It was a beautiful day so we sat out on the back deck & enjoyed some time with Jubal. I was sleepy from staying up past my bedtime Saturday night, so we took Sunday afternoon naps. How refreshing! Jubal is the best baby. He sleeps when I sleep, bless him. I think he's going to love to sleep as much as I do. Yay!!!
Larson had to wake us up to go back to church for the "In-church sing". I was a little cranky and said the whole way that I was NOT going to sing. Well, I ended up singing, nevertheless. I get so nervous every time I get up there! It's always fun to spend time with our church family that way, though.

Here is a video of Larson & Jubal while we were outside Sunday afternoon. Jubal has started making a little gasping sound that Larson loves & when Larson does it, Jubal thinks it is so funny.

I'm off of work on Mondays so that's the day I clean house, wash clothes, run errands, pay bills, etc. I got some of those chores done before Larson got off at lunch. We had to go get our taxes done. Bleh! We had to sit there for almost an hour before we even got seen. Then, we had to go get groceries for our home & my mama's. Did I mention that I hate unloading & putting up groceries? We have to do it twice. Thank God we're blessed to have groceries, though. I survived.
Mind you, I still have 3 loads of clothes to do when we're done with all of this. I told Larson he was going to have to fend for himself for supper, bless him. He even helped me with a few other chores, since I had to meet the owner of the gym I have joined. Yep, I have joined my first gym. I actually liked it, too. I did an hour of cardio, then got in the tanning bed. By the time I finished at the gym, got my mama ready for bed & down for the night, got home, and got a shower it was almost 10:30. Can you say tired?

It was a good weekend, though. Any time I get to spend with my little family is always wonderful, busy or not. Now if I can just get caught up on some more sleep....
