Seeing Santa~2014

There were no tears this year while seeing Santa. While I'll admit the crying pics are probably my favorite, the ones with big smiles & hopeful little hearts are the best, too. I look forward to this every year.

Our official pic with Santa @ Bass Pro

After we saw Santa, we went and rode the new merry-go-round they have in the mall, and walked around doing a little shopping.  It is so hard to find Under Armour shoes in their sizes.  We never did find any, either, but I found some elsewhere so we're good. ;)

I feel so lucky to have my little family.  We had a wonderful day together.  We went for some lunch at Logan's Roadhouse.  It was so good.  Yum!

We ended up not getting home until after 4.  The boys slept most of the way home, which allowed me a peaceful ride home since even Larson napped.  I'm so thankful for fun times with my boys.  Now, we're just looking forward to Christmas Eve with my mama, and Santa coming tonight.

Merry Christmas!!!

PreK Christmas Program

Jubal participated in his first ever Christmas program yesterday. It was the last day of school until the new year, and there was excitement all around. I am so proud of him. All the boys & girls were adorable. They all did such a wonderful job.

One thing I always want to remember is right when the program was starting, and I do mean the music was beginning to play for their first song, Jubal yelled to me, "Mama, I need to pee!" Ha! His teacher looked at me and I asked where the bathroom was and she said it was down the hall, around the corner, etc., etc., etc. I saw an exit sign ten feet away, so I said, "I'm taking him outside." She nodded. He made it back just in time to finish up the first verse of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Proud mama moment, I tell ya. Haha!!!

I also got a couple of cute videos.  They're not the best quality, and you can hear me singing, too, but I will cherish them always.

After the program, we were allowed to go back to their classroom to take pictures of them with their friends.  Jubal's best buddies at school are Garrett Goodell (his best bud) & Derrick DeLoach.

It was a very good morning getting to watch my firstborn take part in his first Christmas program.  I love getting to share all of these special times with my boys.  I am one blessed mama!

Christmas Lights~2014

As we've done each year since Jubal has been born, we went to see Christmas lights.  Same place, different year. :)

We plan on taking them to Guido Gardens this weekend to see some different lights.  I think they're at an age where they will enjoy it more.

Jubal did not want to leave this year.  He couldn't get enough of all the pretty lights.  We had to basically force him in the car, screaming & crying.  Nothing a trip to Walmart couldn't cure.  That boy knows he loves looking at all the toys.

Jubal was mad because he couldn't go inside the lights to touch the blow up toys.
Just look at that mean face. Haha!

I love making these memories with my boys.  I look forward to this season each year.  They sure are growing up quickly.  I love having this journal to look back on.

Christmas Cards~2014

I'm really happy again this year with our Christmas cards. As always, my friend, Christi, took some card-worthy pics of us. I may even get a few canvases out of them, too.

I was sad that I could only pick a few of my faves for the card, but I am pleased to share them with you. :)

And just because I like to look back at our previous year's cards,
here's a look back for you, too.

The Tree

I finally got our tree up. Usually, I put it up the weekend before Thanksgiving to give our home that cozy feeling during the holiday, but this year I was a little late.  Jubal was a little disappointed to say the least.  He had been begging me to put it up for weeks, bless his heart.

He & Gentry were both so excited to finally have it up and decorated that I could barely keep their little hands off of it.  I can't blame them for wanting to touch it.  They will only be little like this for such a short time.  It's their tree anyway.  Just for them.

I got a cute little picture of Gentry running around naked with the Santa hat on.  Sweetness like this really puts you in the Christmas spirit. :)

Thanksgiving~2014

I'm so far behind on posts that I may never catch up. I wish I had a couple more hours in a day. It's a busy season and we've basically just been working and hanging out together at home in our down time.

Our Thanksgiving was simple & sweet.  We didn't do much, but we did get to spend it celebrating my mama's birthday as well that day.  My niece, Lyndsay, came bearing some of her very own homemade mashed potatoes.  They were delicious and she was proud of herself since this was the first holiday she has ever brought her own dish.  Gosh, she has grown up so fast.

We hung out for awhile after lunch.  Mama fell asleep in her chair, we went outside & threw the football around, and called it Thanksgiving.  We all went home & took naps as well.

I didn't even take pictures this year.  I suck.  I do have some cute pics to throw in here, though. ;)
