Life in Pictures

We haven't really been up to a whole lot.  The further I progress in this pregnancy, the less I feel like doing, really.

We did manage to get out of the house this weekend for a little while.  My friend, Amanda had her little girl's birthday party out at Carter's Bight Saturday so we took Jubal out to the water.  I did not take any pictures out there, however.  I'm always afraid of getting my phone or camera wet.

Sunday, we just hung out at home.  It was absolutely wonderful, too.  Larson & I watched an entire movie together while Jubal napped and just laid around most of the afternoon.  I did wash a couple loads of clothes, though. ;)

Anyway...

I've taken several little snapshots with my phone over the weekend and last few days.  I think my little guy is simply adorable, so I wanted to post them. :)

I love Instagram.  I don't know why I don't use it more often.

I love this boy so much!  Just look at that cute little smile.

He is a "daddy's boy"!  Until it's sleepy time. Then he wants his mama.

This picture is blurry because Jubal is shaking his head, telling me "No, no, no, no, no!!!"

Chilling out, watching TV with Daddy.

This picture reminds me of the movie Risky Business. Ha!

I told him to say "Cheese!"

I really debated on posting this picture because I'm very modest about my body, especially now that I'm in the final weeks of my pregnancy.  My belly button is poking out, which it didn't do with Jubal, so it looks very weird to me.  I love this picture, though.  Jubal is constantly pulling my shirt up, kissing my belly.  He'll lay his little head on my tummy & say "Lub you."  I'm sure he has no real concept of what a baby is, but he sure does love the baby in my belly. :)

I just hope he loves the baby as much when he's not in my belly.  We should be meeting Gentry in just a few weeks.  June 15th is the date I'm supposed to have my scheduled C-section.  That's the date we're planning on him being here, unless he decides to make an appearance earlier.  It's down to the wire now.  Nervous excitement.  That's what I'm feeling, other than just being plain worn out.  I can't wait to meet our next son!

Sweet Onion 2012

We had our annual Sweet Onion Festival this past Saturday.  It's always a fun time to run into folks you haven't seen in awhile.  Our fun started with the parade.  We always get to ride in it since the business I work for always has an entry.  Jubal had a ball this year!  He was smiling and waving and saying "Hey everybody!"  It was so cute.

I'm so big & pregnant.  It was so hot.  We made it through the parade, though, and went out to the festival for a little while.  Larson had forgotten Jubal's stroller, so needless to say, we didn't stay very long, especially since I can barely waddle. HA!!!

We did stay long enough for Jubal to have some fun at the little petting zoo & he got to slide.  I thought Larson was going to slide with him, but he went alone.  Such big boy!

Just thought I needed to throw in this little video of Jubal feeding the goat. It's funny how when the goat "Baaaas", Jubal throws the feed down.  Could he get any cuter??  I mean, seriously!

Once we got in the car with the A/C on, Jubal was out!  We got home and he & I both slept until about 5:00.  It was a fun day spent with my little family of 3, for now.  We only have a couple of weeks left and little Gentry will be joining us, making us a family of four.  I'm excited!  Next year maybe I won't have to waddle around. ;)

Splishin' & Splashin'

Jubal absolutely loves any form of water.  We took him to the river a couple of weekends ago and now that he can walk & run, it was so much fun to have him out there running around, playing in the water.  He doesn't like to be carried out and will not go in water passing mid-shin.  He likes to sit in the water with me and will let me hold his head & shoulders so he can lie back in the water.  We have looked forward to taking him to the river all year.  I knew he was going to love it.

This week, thankfully, the good Lord has given us some much needed rain.  We live out on a dirt road with shallow, grassy ditches on each side of the road.  They fill up with rain water quickly and Jubal thinks it's so much fun to play in the puddles.  He hasn't really felt well this week due to his allergy issues that he inherited from me, bless his heart, so I figured if we could give him anything to pick his little spirits up, why not let him go play in the "wa-wa"?

Here's some pics his daddy took while they were out playing.

Yes, I know my son is wearing only a diaper and is playing in the mud.  That's the way we do it in the country.  Luckily, he wasn't butt naked!! ;)

I wanted to post these two little videos I got of him this week, too.  This one is where I was trying to catch him singing, which is so cute, but when he saw I was catching him on camera, he started acting silly.  He really picks up on song lyrics quickly.  I love to hear him singing.

This one is the one I got of him doing a little "interactive play" with a favorite song that comes on TV.  He can be in another room and hear this song come on and he will go running to the living room.  So cute!  It's a little dark because this is  right before bedtime, so we keep the lights dim.

Strawberry Milkshake

Jubal loves a strawberry milkshake.  He's just like his daddy.  We went and bought him his very own medium shake the other day and I'm here to tell you that kid almost drank the entire thing all by himself!

We stripped him down when we got home and let him have it all to himself.  After he couldn't get anymore out of it with the straw, he took the lid off and started drinking straight from the cup, getting whipped cream everywhere. Ha!

My sweet boy had whipped cream up his nose! That didn't stop him, though. ;)

After he took one last swallow, he looked at me and began to shiver all over and made this face. Too funny!!! I think he had a brain freeze. :)
