Bedroom Redo

It only took us close to eight years, but the boys finally have a BEDroom.
We did make it a nursery before Jubal was born, but he never slept in it.
Not even once.

Gentry never slept in there, either.
We are co-sleepers.
Our boys love snuggling with us, and we love having them sleep with us.
Period.

Nursery:

After the boys got older, we took the crib out and made it a playroom.
I left the chest of drawers & dresser in the room
since that was where their fold-up clothes were, and we kept
a TV, bean bag, and little recliner in there, too.

It was a place for them to have as their own.
It was their TV/play room.

Playroom:

A few more years went by, and last summer, we turned it into a gaming room.
They got a PS4, new bean bags, and a new flat screen TV for their birthdays
so we took the old entertainment center out, rearranged some pieces,
and set them up where they could play their games & have their friends over to play, too.
They can watch Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube, etc. all on their PS4.
They were happy boys.

Gaming room:

I've really been ready for them to move into their own beds recently, though.
They're getting bigger, and it's just not comfortable anymore.
They are wonderful snuggle buddies, but Jubal kicks all night long.
So, also as part of their Christmas, I went ahead and redone the room
once again for them.
This time, complete with bunk beds.

Bedroom (finally!!):

They are really enjoying having their very own cozy little space.
Neither have slept all night in their beds yet, though.
We'll get there.

Until then, at least they know they finally have their own bedroom.
It has made it fun when they have company spend the night.
Jubal loves sleeping in there when his friends stay over.
Gentry still wants to sleep next to his daddy, though.

Maybe it won't be too much longer before they prefer sleeping in their own beds.
I will admit that I'm really not looking forward to that day.
It will mean they have outgrown sleeping with us.
Not sure I'm ready...
