Hadley Turned Five

Over the weekend, we celebrated Miss Hadley turning the big 5.  Gentry loves Hadley.  We all love Hadley.  Her NaNa, Shawnya, has been my very best friend for over 25 years now.  Her mama, Tiffany, was my "first baby".  Now, I hope we continue the love for each other's families through our babies. :)

It was a gorgeous, but windy day.  Tiffany had the party out at the park, and the kids had so much fun running & playing, enjoying the beautiful sunshine.  It was such a peaceful party for the adults.  We were able to sit around and chat, laugh, and enjoy hotdogs & chips since the kids couldn't have cared less about the food.  All they were excited about was the cake & ice cream.

Hadley received lots of presents, and everyone had fun watching her open them.  My boys always love to see what gifts are given at parties.  They were right up on Hadley while she opened most of her presents.

After the party ended, once the sun started to go down and it started getting chilly, I took the boys home to stay with their daddy while Shawnya & I went to Statesboro to eat at Olive Garden, our favorite.  We were going to go see Get Out, but by the time we finished our meal it was almost 9, the movie didn't start until 9:55, and we were tired.  So, we decided to just go on home.

Sunday, we all got together and Larson grilled us some of his delicious wings, Shawnya made her homemade ranch pasta salad, and I made us some bacon-wrapped smokies & Moscato berry splashes.  So good!

It was a perfect weekend.  The weather was beautiful, the food was good, and the friends/family were the best.
