Wonderful Weekend

This post is a little late, but better late than never, right?

This past weekend was absolutely wonderful. The weather was gorgeous, we had friends & family come over, & we spent a lot of time outside.

First, Saturday was beautiful. We had plans to grill out with family & friends in the late afternoon and then build a fire and enjoy the evening. It turned out perfect! We had chicken & ribs, broccoli & cheese, macaroni & cheese, corn on the cob, and garlic bread. I had to work Saturday or I would have liked to have made some potato salad & baked beans. I'm just thankful Larson's mama brought the side dishes. It was a lovely evening.

Sunday, we should have been our hineys at church. However, we didn't get our little lazy butts up in time for all of us to get ready. We did get outside, though. I told Larson I wanted to stay outside all day. I was going to mow the grass, but we need to change the oil in the lawnmower first and Larson didn't want to. Ha!

So...we went for a Sunday afternoon drive. It was relaxing. We made frequent stops, including visiting my daddy & brother (their gravesite) along the way. Everything is in bloom and the Dogwood tress are beautiful. I wish I had gotten better pictures, but these will do. :)

We stopped by the DQ on the way home to get Larson his favorite, a strawberry shake with extra strawberries. He wanted Jubal to try it & he loved it!

He loved the cup, too!

After he finished the strawberry shake, he chowed down on a pickle!

After we got all the sticky off, we went outside on the deck and let Jubal bounce around awhile while we enjoyed the sun setting.

Isn't he precious? I also got a little video of him bouncing. He's too cute! He bounces with one foot & sticks the other one out.

Well...that about sums up our weekend. It truly was fabulous. The weather was perfect & we enjoyed staying around the house, being together as a family.
